Nationalism is just an idea so that certain people can live inside their boundaries with some sense of belonging. It is most overrated idea ever conceived by mankind. as per me, both liberals and zealots are nationalist albeit according to their on definition.

and what about patriotism?
the definition you give for religion is actually what we call patriotism.
you know what american liberals are doing in the name of patriotism?
