Sufism in Sindh started gaining roots from 9th century (after Mongol attacks on central Asian states, as most sufis including Qalandar Shahbaz belonged to that area). Even when Qalandar Shahbaz reached Sehwan (Sindh), it was full of sufis and shrines and there are stories of rivalries among sufis to accept new comers.
