my sisters mehndi suits were from master jee, basement market at liberty - i did a thread on where i got my suits from and he was the cheapest who copied designer styles at a fraction of price, they were 6000 rupees each, there barat suits were from think pink, 18000 rupees each, this was the same price for my maria b mehndi suit also.

i only had the viel for nikah and ruksati part,mum wanted me to have it, i have mentioned before that the make up was done by asian creations.

i'm probably the odd one out here, but i joke about how i rukhsati'fied my parents at the end of the night because my dad danced a little too hard lol and hurt his back, so they had to leave around midnight. i wasn't sad because i knew i was going to see them the next day and i think the whole, "holy ***, im actually married!" thing hadn't sunk in yet- i was running on pure adrenalin the whole day. i also think cos i moved out earlier, moving in with the hubs wasn't a huge deal for me cos i was just leaving my apartment and not my parent's place.
a few days later when the fam and i did the wedding post-mortem, i found out my dad had told my inlaws "i'm giving you my daughter, please take care of her", which totally made me bawl, and still makes me cry thinking of it. *sniff i love my dad!
