hmm.. one sign-ey dream that i remember was some years ago. i snuck out of the masjid and started talking to someone on the phone, then felt bad. started running back towards the masjid and it kept going further away.

but in general i do believe in signs. often when theres no obviously better alternative especially.

I'm a believer too. I don't know if I actually do something by interpreting a sign on an everyday basis, but I sure take notice of it. Whenever something out of normality happens, I take a notice of it and think "maybe it's a sign." There have been times when the signs have been so strong, along with my gut feelings, that I have actually made/changed decisions based on it. I prayed to God to guide me, and so far I haven't a regret.

not really, some of the things shes asked me to do are slighty unnerving, she once told me i must marry a certain relative…i didnt bother telling my elders about that dream, they would’v danced with joy and definately acted upon it as a sign!!

Okay, so yesterday at Maghrib time I thought let me read some Quran since I havent in a while, opened a page and began reading and someones name just popped out at me in the first few lines. For me, that was a sign to do something.

catty here’s my take on the situation

EVERYTHING is from Allah

so lets say something happens, and the thought comes into my mind that ITS A SIGN

now if that thought STAYS in my mind k THIS IS A SIGN and it keeps coming back and back and back

like if that thought just does not leave my mind

then I know that its from Allah and the strength/frequency with which it keeps coming back to me, from that I know that it is a sign…

And if its strong enough then I follow it…

In my teenage years, I got hold of a few Nancy Friday books. The signs she talks about were so much entertaining.
