Re: Signs Of Weak Iman
how can this make one's imaan weak? what I mean to ask is, lets say as we have heard Crabs are makroo - meaning they r eatable but then its better if we avoid - right??
Now, its like a line in between. Nothing wrong if u eat it but then its preferred not to eat it. I just don't understand how this can also be the base of weak imaan.
I suspect it comes down to a combination of items on the list, and not one of them on its own.

What has gone wrong here. Gaining knowledge was something big, like discovering new planets, or exploring the bottom of the ocean, or developing a new game that rivals WII.
Are we being lead by so small minds these days that making wudu is like gaining knowledge?
During the Golden Age of Islam muslim and ‘Arab scholars made HUGE leaps in knowledge. Much of the so–called scientific advances of the West came from knowledge developed by Muslims.
…and now look at us :(
Re: Signs Of Weak Iman
sometimes a person can have very strong imaan, but over time, god sends calamity upon calamity upon them, i speak 4rm personal experience, ive still kept my faith strong, but i dunno wht allah either sum kind of profound hatred 4 me and my family, he keeps sending more and more afflictions and hardship, the imaan will eventually becum weak. I'm told that this is all a test to see how strong our faith and that allah will not test us more than what we can tolerate, I always belived this, but to be honest, sum of the things that have happnede to me recently have smashed my imaan totally, there is only so much sum1 can take, allah has stopped listening to our prayers no matter how much we pray. Ive frankly given up on god and religion, its becuming a bit of joke to me now

[li]Realize the greatness of Allah. Everything is under His control. There are signs in everything we see that points us to His greatness. Everything happens according to His permission. Allah keeps track and looks after everything, even a black ant on a black rock on a black moonless night.
[/li]
If everything is under teh control of allah and nothing happens without his permission , then when we commit sins or do bad, it was allah that dceided that we were going to do that, then why do we get punished 4 things that are not even in our control??? cud sum1 pls answer this since i get really confused about this,

Re: Signs Of Weak Iman
Feeling too lazy to do good deeds, e.g. being late for salat
Good deed (practically speaking) as I understand is helping a needy, not salat.
Neglecting the Sunnah.
Sunnah is optional not farz.
Having mood swings, for instance being upset about petty things and bothered and irritated most of the time.
Normally you get that in withdrawl symptoms as well. Can't really say it happens because of imaan ki kamzori. Note: Try quit smoking you will understand what I mean.
Not feeling bad when things are done against the Shariah.
I think I believe in God when I leave the transgressions against Him to be dealt by Him.
Being concerned with whether something is haram or halal only; and not avoiding makroo (not recommended) things.
Recommend is not equal to prohibited. Whichever way you want to cut it.
Making fun of people who do simple good deeds, like cleaning the mosque.
?
Make an effort to gain knowledge, for at least the basic things in daily life e.g. how to make wudu properly. Know the meanings behind Allah's names and attributes. People who have taqwa are those who have knowledge.
kia to example di hai. mashallah.
Re: Signs Of Weak Iman
In all the collections of hadith this one in Bukhari says it all. I have just posted what is relevant to Iman (Faith):
One day while the Prophet was sitting in the company of some people, (The angel) Gabriel came and asked, "What is faith?" Allah's Apostle replied, 'Faith is to believe in Allah, His angels, (the) meeting with Him, His Apostles, and to believe in Resurrection." Then he further asked, "What is Islam?" Allah's Apostle replied, "To worship Allah Alone and none else, to offer prayers perfectly to pay the compulsory charity (Zakat) and to observe fasts during the month of Ramadan." Then he further asked, "What is Ihsan (perfection)?" Allah's Apostle replied, "To worship Allah as if you see Him, and if you cannot achieve this state of devotion then you must consider that He is looking at you." Then he further asked, "When will the Hour be established?" Allah's Apostle replied, "The answerer has no better knowledge than the questioner. But I will inform you about its portents ....
Emboldened is the part about Iman. If anything deters you from those beliefs then that is causing breaches and weakness in your Iman.
