I see people discussing it all the time giving figures from various sources. I don’t know whom to believe. I tend to think that Karachi no longer generates 70% of revenue. It should be obvious provided the law and order situation in the city which is making industrialists pack up and go back to Punjab.
Karachi was alienated when the capital was moved to Punjab. But at present, karachi’s problems have more to do with being under control of Sindhi wadera-shahi than Punjabi governments. Even with all their intrigues and machinations, Karachi would still have fared much better than the current dilapidated condition it is now.
