i would say yes pakistan desperately needs pg ratings and not only for enetrtainment channels but also news and cartoon channels. I simply can not forget the scene of a young man dying after jumping or slipping from 8th floor of building on fire in karachi. they showed the whole fall from his hands slipping from the window till the poor guy hit the ground and sprawled on the ground. They show so much violence on the news channels. And dont even get me started about the kids channels. My son is allowed to watch tv only for one hour but i just wish i would even ban that one hour too, most of the channels show hindi dubbed cartoons, i dont know why no body noitices that....we all raise such hue and cry over idnian drama and movies that are targetted at adult audience but we forget that we are showing the same culture to our kids and cartoon newtork i guess is the most violent channel of all....all u find is wierd cartoons wierd jokes.......one joke a kids and dad are sitting on sofa, dad is actually sleeping and one child says to another look what i can do to daddy and pinches him hard and teh dad screams.....i mean seriously......we are thinking of removing the tv from the family living area.
