there is something fundamentally wrong with a guy who is just obsessed with the movies. if it was sports i would have no problem. like i said before, my comments were not meant to belittle anyone,

Of course it was meant to belittle someone. How do you know LUC doesn't play sports -he could be a hockey champ for all we know. And why do you think guys should be obsessed with only sports - that's called pseudo-macho conditioning.

Film makers are obsessed with movies, that is why they produce movies. Who knows, maybe one day LUC will become a director.

karachiexpress change your sig to this (inspired from karina's sig.):

In the End Everyone's a Fag

hey he maybe one day be the next steven spielberg. i don't know him well enough to say whether he will or won't. i did not pass any judgement on him. i just asked him a question. and then i said over and over again that my question is not meant to hurt anyone. it's not my fault that some immature kiddos in this forum is not old enough to tell who's "gay bashing" or who's just asking a question. as far as sports is concerned, i don't think i have seen anyone being questioned about their sexuality after they said that they are sports fanatics. it's just the way guys function. you would'nt understand, just like i don't understand how gals function. it's completely all right. LUSSI THAT IS A GREAT IDEA. TELL YA WHAT, I WILL DO IT IF YOU DO IT. NAAAAAH, I WOULD BE RIDICULED OFF OF THIS BOARD.

I am not surprised you don’t know how gals function, but that is another discussion altogether.

:offtopic:

Lets get back to the topic at hand - which is pak film industry and allowing indian movies to be screened in the country, not the sexual orientation of particular guppies.

great i would like nothing better. but you can certainly understand why i would feel the need to defend myself when being ridiculed

if you don't want to be ridiculed then refrain from posting up stuff that might inflame others.

Simple.

Lollywood won't let Bollywood butt in
Press Trust of India
Islamabad, December 9

Pakistani film producers on Tuesday vowed to stymie any bid by their Indian counterparts to have a ban on Indian films lifted, saying the raunchy Indian movies were a threat to Pakistani morality.

"We are totally against allowing Indian movies to run in Pakistani theatres," Mian Amjad Farzand, chairman of the Pakistan Film Producers Association, told AFP.

"There is a big difference between their culture and ours. Indian movies shown on satellite and cable television and hired out by video shops have already damaged the moral fabric of our society."

Indian films have been banned in Pakistan for more than four decades and Bollywood, the headquarters of the Indian film industry in Bombay, was seen as a threat to Pakistan's much smaller film industry Lollywood, based in Lahore.

But Bollywood is hugely popular in Pakistan as pirate copies of films are common.

Farzand said the Pakistani producers' stance was based not on fear of Indian movies killing the Pakistani industry, but on morality.

"This is not a question of business, it's a question of protecting our culture," he said.

Politics also played a role, he conceded.

The president of the Indian Motion Pictures Producers' Association (IMPPA) Sawaan Kumar announced Sunday the group will seek a meeting with Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf to ask him to lift the ban on their films.

Its not just about movies its about the whole picture! Why aren't we as concerned about Bangali Movies or Japanese Movies? Because we do not relate to them and are not addicted to them as we are to Indian movies. I am sure all of us regardless of what our political, religious, or cultural believes are will agree that 'addiction' of any kind is bad for a civilization not to mention the economy.

My vote: Ban them and take serious consideration on ensuring the implementation of the banning procedures so that none of these illegal copies are floating around!

^ lalley, don’t do that. You know our army is funded by the Pakistan public’s obsession with Bollywood.:hehe:

But it helps grinz doesn’t it?

I’d rather leave the consumption of oil and matches supplies to them next time they feel like burning muslims in Gujrat!

No it doesn’t help a bit.

As for your second comment - think before you speak. I could reply saying we had enough matches left over after the Pakistanis burned the hindus at Godhra. :nono:

And I detest those Pakistanis as much as I detest Indians who were involved in the burning of Muslims in Gujrat!

Unfortunately or fortunately I do not find these atrocities to be some form of a game or arguement fodder!

Oh! And it is too bad that the editted statements are not specified somewhere in the message syntax. Too bad!
