I find this post rediculuous at best. Islam is a very peaceful religion and no muslim resorts to any kind of violence ever! Most of the muslims in Pakistan area of the sub-continent are turkish/Iranian/European/Arabic mix- countries which were and are largely muslim. Islam is the only religion that gives so much freedom to women. Danda bhai, please tell me where in India or any part of the world women enjoy as much freedom as in the muslim world? These Hindus keep complaining for losing the so-called "arms" of bharat mata where in reality the regions which comprise Pakistan were never considered part of ancient India. People are welcomed in Islam as there is no discrimination based on caste(like Hindus) or color(like Christianity).

1. Who the hell uses swords these days? That's so last century. Unless you do fencing for sport. Even then...

So, no, Islam wont be spread by a sword. Maybe by a gun to the head. But not a sword.

1. Converting people by force is not Islamic. Unless you WANT to go to hell. So again, it shouldn't be spread by a "sword" or "gun" or anything that can cause you to bleed.

Anyway, its all political crap. On the other hand, you have Christian missionaries going around the world, setting up hospitals, delivering humanitarian care, and thereby gaining lots of converts.

If only muslims were educated enough to do the same. But given the fact that we don't even produce enough health care workers to take care of the needs of our own population, its no wonder they need to resort to pathetic methods like a threatening letter to get people to convert. That shows me even more how uneducated our muslims are, and how utterly UNCREATIVE we've become as a mass population.

sad to see Pakistanis posting anti-Islamic sentiments.. You should be lucky that were born in a muslim family and not in a jaahil country like India. You talk of health care and not taking care of our population, tell me first how much has India progressed since independence? my family in Punjab has all the health care and we have access to good doctors. You talk of we becoming uncreative? Have you ever been to Dubai or Saudi? If you see how much they have advanced you will be amazed.. I guess they are ahead in science and technology than most of the countries now.

It is surprising that most of the posters here have refused to comment on the fact that a minority community is receiveing threats to convert.

One particular poster goes to the extent of saying that the sword cannot be used to convert but a gun could do. Why are we arguing about the semantics here. Imagine the hue and cry if the same had happened in India. Posters here would have generalised all Indians to be narrow minded etc.

My simple questions to the posters here

1) Do you condone what is happening

2) What is it that can be done to prevent these incidents from happening again...

1) Yes I fully condone and disagree with this sort of propaganda. No one has any right to convert anybody on the point of sword or gun.

2) The bitter fact is that when the great companions of Holy Prophet (SAW) could not prevent such incidents, nobody can. Such incidents do nothing but defame Islam. They did happen in the past and they would keep on happening in future. We can only hope, pray, and spread the word of Allah;

Surah-e-Nis'a, Verse 92,93; (Muslims should not kill Muslims)

"Never should a Believer kill a Believer; but (if so happens) by mistake, (compensation is due). If one kills a Believer, it is ordained that he should free a believing slave, and pay compensation to the deceased family, unless they remit it freely. Whoso kills a Believer on purpose, his reward is Hell forevr. Allah is wroth against him and He hath cursed him and prepared for him an awful doom".

Surah-e-Maida, Verse 32; (No human should kill any human)

"....If anyone kills a person, be it for murder or for spreading mischief in the land, it would be as if he has killed the whole mankind, and if anyone saves a life, it is as if he has saved the whole mankind".

Why you care so much to compare yourself with Short, Dark, Rice-eating Jaahil Indian Kuffars....when you are so much proud to be born in great "enlightened" Islamic religion of "peace".

I didn't get one thing why you people are always so much obsessed with human-made religions, god & their rules, can't you people find anything better to do than spending your time bickering with each other of what belongs to who, starting wars on the basis of pathetic human-made religious rules. People who can't use their brain, common sense will always be depended on these man-mad religious rules coz they r totally brainwashed. If people were truly willing to face the results of their decisions, they wouldn't need any kind of god who was human nd don't you think so copy pasting rules paragraphs chapter nos. here from Quran, Geeta, Bible blah..blah looks childish?

moin uncle tell me what sort of freedom are given to women in islam? we have seen the rights given by talibanis to women in afghanistan and what abt the rape rule (4 people should be witness)?

No christian or jewish or hindu country would allow preaching of Islam in their countries either....................but there is no hindu, christian or jewish country in the whole world........most countries are secular and according to secularism you can practice your religion as long as you are not mixing it with the political affairs of the country. Besides in the religion like Hinduism there is no concept as asking people of other religion to convert. If you read carefully on the forum itself Hindus say there is no need to convert, because it is all in the heart and mind.
