when clinton had an affair, it was his personal matter, but the whole US govt, the congress, the public and the whole world made a huge deal out of it and he was impeached.
few years later, Bush, the ‘smart’ US president has shaken the world; invaded two muslim countries, caused thousands of innocent afghanis and iraqis to die and has found non of the two things that he had great ‘proof’, ‘evidence’ and ‘inetelligence reports’, that Afghanistan and iraq allegedly had; Osama bin laden and WMD respectively.
the UScongress will be presented with the interim report by the weapons inspectors today, who even after months of extensive and uninterrupted post invasion seacrh have found NO chemical, biological weapons of mass destruction in iraq at all. not even traces.
surprising how only a few months ago Bush seemed to have all the evidence gathered by his smart intelligence agencies that are feared all over the world, that was necesary to invade iraq, which was a ‘major threat’ to the world. (this raises another question; what good the FBI, CIA etc actually are!? are they really super agencies or is just some hype? or are they allowed to do whatever they want ethical or unethical on the personal orders of the US president alone, who doesnt have to be a sane person? WTC was blown up and the US intelligence and air defence was on vacation!? Iraq and Afhanistan are being destroyed; the invasion of iraq is no less than the invasions by Chengez Khan, but the FBI, CIA had the wrong or non existing evidence making iraq’s invasion the most important thing for the wrold’s benefit.)
Shouldn’t Bush be impeached, convicted, and sentenced for his “accomplishements”!?
and once he’s where he belongs, the house of lords in the UK may wake up and ask the poodle what his reasons were. was it some special dog food mixed cooked in crude arabian oil available only at the Bush ranches in texas!?
As a Pakistani citizen (not a US citizen) I don't care. No matter who the president, we won't be any better off. However, I would certainly have liked if the question was: "Can a military ruler ever be impeached in Pakistan? answerable to the public?" :)

ramyssysIX, i'm trying to get views on the 'US bullying the rest of the world' phenomenon, so let's leave Pakistan's typical issues discussed a million times aside for now.
someone has opened a new thread 'there were no WMDs', discussing this same issue, i guess it should be meregd with this since the purpose of both seems to be to discuss 'no WMDs, anywhere! what now? what role must the US govt, UN etc play and shall the key players be taught a lesson?'
Well, on top of the whole Plame/CIA deal and Iraq/Afghanistan falling apart.. Clark is demanding a criminal investigation into the Admin’s selling of the Iraq war I don’t think that’s going to go anywhere on its own, but it can help push the Plame investigation further along that direction. That’s why the WH is trying to make the CIA thing look like partisan trickery.. cause if it actually goes anywhere it’s going to make the Kelly inquiry look like traffic court.
youre right spoon.
the duplicity being displayed not just by the govts or high profile ppl but by the general world public aswell is amazing amd surprising...
again i compare clinton and bush; ppl took to the streets cause clinton pleased himslef in whitehouse, no one cares to leave the front porch of their homes when bush is killing millions sitting in the white house, to please...who? his own self or his own capitalist interests...
all theinquiries and commissions and experts' reprts and seminars and conferences will be of no use if there is'nt any wide set protest against the US, Uk and UN, cause these ppl are in control of everything. they can handle everyone with a flair of revolt. poor Kelly, he may well be only the first victim...

the presidential elections are next yr right? one wouldnt mind cheney in for a few months to see Bush being humiliated and punished for his 'heroic' and 'patriotic' acts.
as i said, elsewhere: .......... it really doesn't matter what third world folks think of mr bush and his merry men ............. people from developing countries should stick to the simple tasks of providing drinking water for their people and building latrines so that they will stop defecating in the streets...just because they can write a few sentences in the man's language, does not give them the right to pontificate on matters that don't concern them...
