Obviously not.
The vast majority of shorts are above the knee. A streamlined proper pair of shorts is so much better than the throwback to 90s college baggy knee length cargo shorts.

frankly, shorts above the knee are actual sportwear(not the hip half pant have short thingie), very comfortable and dont hinder you.
