That concept doesn't apply in Pakistan - Because as soon as some fashion becomes inn you see every girl even aunties following it so to do what you want makes you look like an outcast...

I kind of like the knee-length kameez with churidaar look! But I do agree with dafodil, longer shirts definitely look more elegant and formal.

Is this the only designer that has had a show so far? Let's not assume anything, all of the designers have to be going with the same thing and then the style comes into function. I think short shirts are not going to be in fashion as of yet. There is still time for it.

I think runway fashion takes a while before it starts to take over consumer wardrobes. Also, most of the lawn collections that have been released for Summer 2011 showcase long/loose kameezes still so I think these are just a few outfits from the PFDC Sunsilk Fashion Week that happened to have short shirts.
Either way, I love the bright spring colors! :)

Sana Safinaz just did a poll on their FB page to see if people are ready for short shirts. The response was overwhelmingly negative. I don't see short shirts coming back anytime soon. And thank god for that.

does anyone have an opinion on rehana saigol? her clothes do not look pakistani at all =/ they seem heavily influenced by india.
I still like the long fashion, but fashion is always changing so its going to be hard to keep up unfortunately!

I agree with Marwah. Why do we care if something isn’t going to be in fashion in the next few months? I went to Pakistan after years, completely clueless of this obsession of Pakistani ladies with what’s in, wore slightly wide legged trousers one day and my khala nearly had a heart attack! 
Just wear what *you *like and, most importantly, what suits you.
Fashion sense is good but casual clothing shouldn’t cause us women so much pain. Anyhoo, I’m not liking the pics posted by the OP, they’re weird.

There are both longa nd short shirts in those pictures. The first page has short/kneee length shirts but the last page does have long shirts. Long shirts with wide legged pants are still there. However, there is a trend of wearing medium length kameezes with Choridar pajamas.

That is ridiculous indeed....problem for poor laggards who take toooooo much time in adopting the in-thing....
IMO there wont be any short shirts for common ppl from the point we are standing right now...
Designers have been doing this since ages.............who cares
Enjoy the long shirts.....comfortable and decent........All of you wear short one today and feel the difference :)

long ones were good for winters but im afraid the long and wide damans wont do much good these summers. better than short ones anyway that reveal more and cover less. I m going to go for medium ones thats it. my own fashion

I don't know why some designers constantly trying to bring short shirts IN . lONG SHirts R still in, latest trend/fashion is with Churiard pajamas. Iwent to all Lawn xhibitn and and personally checked that they all re prompting ver very loooooong ankle lenght (flared/ A lined ) shirts.
But yes for 2011, some designers R promoting short knee lenght , frock style with straight pajamas/ tights / churidar. So the bottom line is "wear whtever you like", Sab IN hai!!
