:omg: I have nothing against this couple (although I can’t stand Shoaib Malik), but the comments are hilarious.

I just saw the ARY news report and they asked Meera what she thought about it.. she said it was a beautiful thing to happen since they are both SPORTSMAN and Shoaib is Pakistan’s top cricketer and Sania is top in Bollywood. :rotfl:

This news came out of nowhere! congratulations to the couple. The only thing common between the two is that both of them are second class players at the world level.

I can see how Malik has a financial interest in the marriage but what is Sania thinking? Probably she prefers his punjabi english accent over an Indian english accent ( I don't blame her).

I watched the interview of Shoaib's bro in law yesterday and it was shocking because the guy looked so upset. There was no happiness on his face! The interviewer said that he, along with other reporters, had been waiting outside shoaibs house all day and none of the family wanted to interact with the media. His younger bro told the reporter that he did not wish to come on tv and neither would any of his family and that shoaib himself will address the pakistani crowd when he comes.

A lot of people are saying that it is weird, as the girl and her family are on the tv seen collecting visas, being happy, distributing mithai but its the opp outside maliks house. I have a friend in sialkot, so I will see if they can shed any light...will keep you posted.

News channel *Headlines Today *claims to have found a video in which Shoaib admits to getting married and even accepts congratulations.

The video which was recorded on March 30, 2005 shows Shoaib admitting that he was married and playing in his wife's city. He says so in public after a cricket match in Hyderabad.
The video has come as an embarrassment for Shoaib, who is marrying tennis star Sania Mirza in Hyderabad on April 15.
The video shot at the Hyderabad cricket stadium shows former Indian cricketer Arun Lal mentioning about Shoaib's return to form, to which Shoaib replies: "I was a little disappointed, but I am fine now as I just scored 82 runs. This is my wife's home, so I am so happy."
Shoaib even accepts Lal's congratulations on his marriage with a "thank you", as reported by a website.
