Re: shoaib has degenerative disease in knee
It is sad but hopefully he will recover and come back.
Re: shoaib has degenerative disease in knee
That is very unfortunate and with worldcup looming alongwith important series againt England, we could have benefitted a lot. I wish he comes back sooner rather than later :(
Re: shoaib has degenerative disease in knee
Mohammad Asif: A genuine strike bowler, a wicket-taker, one of the most successful bowlers Pakistan have produced in recent memory.
Rana Naveed: Even though performed horribly during the past series, he must be given a few more opportunities before the World Cup in order for him to get his head back together, and for us to extract the most potential from him, while we can...
Umar Gul: In comparison to Sami, should at least be provided with another full series, and not just a match here and there. Let's incorporate him full-time into the squad for the time being.
Mohammad Sami: Worthy enough to spear-head our bowling attack in the future when Shoaib hangs up his boots, not to mention least bit competent to be included in the upcoming series?
Danish Kaneria: Will be immensely helpful when in desire of specialist spin bowling, although the likes of Afridi and Malik will continue to dominate that department, from the looks of it.
Arshad Khan: If pigs can fly, then I believe Taaya Arshad can spin some magic in his deliveries, too. We will leave him alone, considering he will be a part of Pakistan squad for the next 15 years.
Please feel free to add/substract from the list above.
How could you miss Hawaldaar from the list?
On Shoaib... sorry to hear that. "Degenerative disease of the knee" sounds more scary than hopefully it is. As a fast bowler, he still has a few years of top-level cricket left in him, even at the age of 30.
Re: shoaib has degenerative disease in knee
Knee injuries take a long time to heal, especially if surgery is required. Shoaib, most likely will miss the World Cup next year.

I realy thought you made some sence few of the times, until I realized that your presistant school-kid type behaviour is more real most of the time.

Isn’t this funny, a guy always telling everyone,
Aao, meri loo:omg:
Re: shoaib has degenerative disease in knee
if you reall wanted to call him chucker atleast you could've added "fastest", otherwise you are forgetting other chuckers of the world :p
jab ball lagee kisi ke helmet par
sab bolay bowler hay chucker
its sad to learn about Shoaib's knee, I hope he gets sooner than better.
Re: shoaib has degenerative disease in knee
Looks to me like Shoiab career is all but over.... we need to bring in another bowler with some top notch pace. We cant have an all medium pace attack
Some1, while Shaoib is gone there is still the chucking of Bhajji to contend with
Re: shoaib has degenerative disease in knee
Hope to see cheetah back in action soon Inshallah, so we can see his fiery pace again. In the mean time enjoy Shoaib in action.

Contraindication: Not suitable for Some 1 who can easily get constipated:teary1: when seeing Shoaib in action.
Re: shoaib has degenerative disease in knee
According to sources ‘very close’ to Shoby he is still expected to travel to SA as the medical specialist appointment is still awaited or he might travel to Melbourne where the appointment is available acoording to his schedule.
His injury is more of a stress fracture-cum-strain of his upper ankle, and knee
problem which is not certain, but serious enough to treat it now than later.

Ps: His allegedly being called a ‘Chucker’ is always India’s favorite card
which according to him is very amusing and solitude. Its all ‘Topi drama’ he says,
‘They’ must suck it in some how, :elmo::k:
