Well it does contain tobacco without nicotine though. It is NOT worse then cigs there was a counter and more recent study to suggest it less harmful.

There was another study done by a London based scientist he proved otherwise. It contains less harmful substances then cigs. I’ll try finding it if I can online.

And there’s many studies that say otherwise:

Bertrand Dautzenberg, OFT President said, “The report confirms that smoking shisha is a major source of air pollution in closed and covered areas. If comparing the data to regular cigarette smoke, one shisha corresponds to an average of around 70 drags on a cigarette.”

A more recent one (2009):
