Nice thread, can we now also discuss how multani mitti was brought into india from Pakistani Punjab, dupicated and distributed by Sri Manmohan Singh when he migrated from Pakistani areas ?

My dad says Shimla mirch is from Shimla ( city of India ) and zulfiqar bhuto brought seeds of shimla mirch from India, and thats how now it's all over in Pakistan.

I would like to know what is story behind it.

We had multani mitti in British India of which Multan and Sindh were a part of :D

Then why it’s called multani mitti ?

History says that Multan was part of Sindh at the time of Arab conquest. Further, Multan’s atmosphere, surrounded by desert, is quite similar to Sindh’s atmosphere, so similar variety of mitti can be found in both areas.
