I am not switching sides here but the Iranian theatre is going to be different. Iranians dont have the ethnic/ religious differences that are present in Iraq. Plus I dont think it's going to be a land invasion, more of a clandestine ops with a few drones(UAVs) with a 10Mega ton MOAB type bomb finishing off the nuclear baking machine.:D

I am just wondering where is all the "security" when this stuff happens? I mean other than protecting the oil fields what does the US amy do.
I know killing, raping and commiting other war crimes makes their schedule busy but i mean they can atleast try to get a terrorist or two don't you think?

inna lillahe wa inna ilaihe raajioun. Muharram is the only time these cowards can come foward eh. Being the majority, Shias have shown real patience post every attack. whether the intention is civil war or to uprise, its not gonna happen.
still, I'll have to rethink my summer plans. even post elections, things dunn seem to be getting better.

this exposes the fact that these Sunni terrorists were NEVER fighting for Iraq or Iraq's people. they were under the assumption that a victory against the US would lead to a Sunni Islamic gov't. unfortunately for them, they neither tasted victory nor have a Sunni Islamic gov't in power.....and this bitter humiliation has materialized in the form of bombs in Shia mosques.
they need to face reality....they are living in a Shia majority country.

so ppl on this board have already started assuming it was carried out by sunnis. why dint we have these bombings each yr at muharam when sunni saddam was in power. it must have been pretty easy for his regime to carry these out.

8 suicide bombers this Saturday, they targeted religious gatherings and Iraqi checkpoints. A funeral was also attacked.

It's much easier to secure a limited location (oil wells/refineries) than an entire country.
That's why crime exists in every country, you can't protect everything and everyone at once.
