Radio Free Europe is reporting that the 5 may have been victime of human trafficking, and that the two individuals who escaped the attack might have been the smugglers.

The Radio Free Europe article also quotes a witness who gives a more sinister account. Apparently, the police stopped the Chechens and took all of thier money as a bribe. Locals saw this and advised the Chechens to go to a Frontier Corps check post to file a complaint against the police.

To stop the complaint, the police phoned the Frontier Corps check post and reported that a van with suicide bombers was coming there…

Firenze: killing innocents is what parts criminal terrorists from law abiding society. There can be an excuse for coletral damage or innocents caught in cross fire with terrorists but knowingly killing innocent to cover a crime is wrong (if this story is true).
