Thats a target that can be reached. If we dont just throw away the wickets, Inshallah jeet hamaari hogi.

Two points to note :

only 12 extras.

Overs completed with 15 minutes in hand.

This is a big change from what used to be.

Inshallah.. instead of Razzaq.. today our new boys should bat welll :) atleastt 30 + to har aik ko score karna chayay :)

224 won't be a cake walk under the lights and Murli bowling to youngsters. I think Pak can lose this one. Let's see. It is a good testing total. If Pak wins, it'll do world of good to the confidence of these rookies. I would be surprised if we can pull it off.

I agree with fg, I don't think the lights will be too much of a factor though, judging by yesterday's game. Conditions seemed pretty easy when they were batting. I think Murali might be a problem for some of the inexperienced players. They should just try and see him off and score against the other bowlers.

I thought the bowling performance was pretty good. Everyone bowled with discipline and the pressure was kept on the Lankans right through. Naved Hasan is a medium pacer pretty much like Razzaq. Steady but not spectacular. might be useful in more helpful conditions.

Shoiab Malik, Sami and Razzaq bowled well. I think Rashid should have Razzaq complete his overs as he was not only bowling well he was also economical. compare to him Umar gave away a lot of runs and so did Naveed. Neverthless a good fighting total.

If we dont throw away our wickets we should be able to make this total. Its also going to be a good test for our youngsters, lets see how they handle Murali. I have a feeling that the younger generation of batsmen might play Murali better.
Good Luck Pakistan.

Yep, bowling was pretty good. What I enjoyed most was the fielding. That run-out by Sami was a good one. Mohammad Hafeez is a joy to watch as well. Covers the covers efficiently. That run-out miss on his own bowling was a i bit odd and funny. Oh well, he did everything right - waited, composed and threw with caution but it was not meant to be.

Taufeeq Umar and Muhammad Hafeez are openning the game :hula:

224 runs in 50 overs with the Required RR of 4.5 runs per over

First 4 by Muhammad Hafeeez :jhanda:

Another 4 by Muhammad hafeeez in the first over…

second 4 by Hafeez. :)

Pakistan 9/0 after 1 over.

Hafeez is little bit unsure of himself outside the off stump.

:jhanda:

Confident start by openers esp hafeez
