I’ve always loved Surah Fil. I know it’s not the first surah that comes to mind when people think of favorites. But it reminds me that anything is possible for Allah. I usually don’t recite this surah in my namaz, but I’ve noticed that when I’m worried or really, really want something…I’ll end up reciting it in namaz and sometimes subconsciously.

Surah Yasin…I’ve learned that the hadith which states that this surah is the heart of the Quran is a weak one and it’s something that many of us have heard growing up. Although weak ahadith are still counted (they’re not dismissed), I’d like to believe that this surah really is the heart of the Quran because its words roll of the tongue sooooooo easily and so quickly.

In regards to ayats, I don’t have favorites but one that comes to mind…

Wa tu’izzu man tashaao, wa tuzillu man tashaao…I’ve heard my mom reference this many times. When you’re worried about how you will be perceived, it’s a good reminder that Allah is the source of all izzat and He gives it whomever He wills and debases whomever He wills.

Great Ayat, this really gives me a confidence that ALLAH is super power and as long as HE is with you no one can harm you, SubhanALLAH.
