Re: Shampoo

I am with niksik on this one. nothing beats bumble & bumble :)
and i also use WEN as a hair mask once a week. it really keeps the hair soft and shinny

Re: Shampoo

When I can afford it I use Aveda Brilliance. Usually just buy the one thats on offer in Boots at that time. Yah...tricky times.

Re: Shampoo

I have been using Joico K-Pak for dry and damaged hair and really like it after all that I have put my hair trhough these past few months . My hair was sad and it looks happy now. I bougth their normal shampoo and condtioner that comes in a bottle. They also have "moisturizing conditoner" which I bought just recently and i hear ya, it totally made my hair sooo stiff and brick'ish. I read somewhere online that these are made for extremly dry hair ... they are protien treatments and dont need to be used more then once every 2 weeks and that they should be followed with a deep conditioner. Meh.
So yeah
Joica K-Pak Shampoo and Conditioner. Give it a try. Kind of expensive. I dont know where you are but if you are in Canada..you can find it for cheap at Winners once in a while.

Re: Shampoo

i got this one shampoo in karachi from schwarzkopf, it was their mositurising one, i havent found anything that good since, the rest are all just average, except biolage that was good too, but yeah none matched that one when i ran out of it!

Re: Shampoo

I used to love both freeman and bumble and bumble too but then after using it for a years i got bored and wanted to try something new. I'm thinking of trying something organic now...
Has anyone tried david babaii for wildaid?

Re: Shampoo

The thing is my hair is very volumous and very dry. So I can't use a volumizing shampoo and I guess the best thing is a moisturizing shampoo. Should I use shampoo for regular hair instead? When I've tried to use the sleek and slimming type formulas, those too just add on a lot of soap scum!

I just don't know what to do anymore. These shampoos are way too expensive. I have this Paul Mitchell's and I guess I should just sell it online and try to get rid of it or something. I can't find the kambakhat receipt. I save every receipt even for ridiculous things, and this is the one receipt I lose.

Re: Shampoo

^I find that shampoos are nothing to invest on. Get a shampoo for regular hair, most drgstore brands are fine ... and invest in a GOOD conditioner, like from the body shop or something.
The conditioners that have been working well for me are Tresemme, Dove, this leave-in conditioner from Pantene that comes in a jar, and most Body Shop conditioners.

Re: Shampoo

Oh and I always condition my hair after showering. I think most people do anyway, but I thought I'd mention this.

I also do a weekly deep conditioning by applying an egg yolk + yogurt home-made hair mask. [A wonderful way of using yolks, and making an egg-white omellette from the whites]

Re: Shampoo

i agree with Saratem that a leave in conditioner is more imp than a shampoo when it comes to dry hair. i havn't find a shampoo so far that makes my hair really sleek n manageable leaving no need for other products. even rinse off conditioners r just show-off.
but do think abt products with right kind of ingredints. even if u put them in ur hair for few mins they do effect in the long run.

Re: Shampoo

I used to use joico and I was quite happy with the results. I may go back to it … but I want to try the new Garnier shampoo / conditioner that has 3 oils in it.

Garnier Fructis Triple Nutrition Conditioner

has anybody else tried it? it’s supposed to be great for dry hair.

Re: Shampoo

What do you guys recommend for oily/thin hair?

I contemplated buying this shampoo, nioxin, for thinning hair..they have several different lines depending on whether your hair is dry or natura or chemically treated etc…

i used the nioxin system for thinning hair in 2005..my hair was falling out…it made my hair come back to life..Alhamdulilah!](“http://www.paklinks.com/gs/fashion-beauty/375452-shampoo-2.html”)

Strange but they hav no ingredient list.

Did you use teh whole system? or just the shampoo? what about the conditioner? how is ur hair naturally? I think i needed to use system #2, because my hair is natural and visibly thinning and limp.

Re: Shampoo

Sara i'm gonna buy Nioxin too. i'm thinking just to buy shampoo only or scalp treatment but no conditioner. zara ye weather theek ho jaaiy so i can go to mall...argh

i have fine hair..and a lot of it…gets oily after a couple of days…i used the whole system.
Amazon.com: Nioxin Thinning Hair System 1 Normal to Thin Looking Hair 4 ounce size: Health & Personal Care
