His no-balls ruined his career unfortunately but he was a good swing bowler indeed.
This maybe off topic, but another bowler whose career was ruined by wides and no-balls was Irfan Fazil. That guy could bowl 'quick', sometimes quicker than Shoaib but he was way way wayward. Though he was able to pick four wickets through sheer pace against SL on his test debut.
:) Shahid Nazir has been one of the best bowlers in the Patron's Trophy matches with a decent average. In the recently concluded practice one dayer his bowling stats were 9-1-26-1. Not bad for someone getting off the plane. Based on merit, he is an automatic selection but our stink tanks have other ideas.
With Amir Nazir....I doubt if i ever saw him producing the same Swing as he did in WI ...so i personally wouldnt count him as a very good bowler to me he was some one who had good couple of days...thats it....And Irfan, he had lively pace...but jeez he was wayward....he was 18 at his Debute....so that makes him around 23 now...so he still got time..if he is given chance again!
