I made them…I felt they were a lil spicy but my husband loved them and thought they were excellent. Much better htan the salan I had made ![]()
What I did was drain the salan (turns out I had more daal than I thought–a lil over a cup) and rinse the daal…meanwhile, I boiled 1/2 cup of beef chunks with a lil bit of the masala, some sliced onions, chopped garlic and ginger, some garam masala, salt, pepper, lal mirch. after a half hour on lowish heat, i drained it all and after letting it cool for another half hour or so, I put it all in the food processor along with a lil bit of an onion.
I had half a packet of the shan masala, about 1/3 I used in the boiling and the rest I used in the mix… jus tfor good measure I added a lil bit of breadcrumbs, made the kababs and dipped them in egg and shallow fried em
FYI, 1 1/3 cup of cooked daal, 1/2 cup of beef cubes = 12 kababs
