I think there is also Shangrilla Chinese which is indoors but I don’t know the size of the hall.

Oh actually… the only place I really liked in Multan was the MGM and this would have been my choice. But I’m not sure what’s going on with that now. They have either stopped doing functions or they are handled by Amir Rajput but it’s not the same as it used to be otherwise we would have done it there.

Shangrilla Chinese is where my cousin had his wedding, not Shangrilla Gardens. I got confused with the names! The hall is good size and has two floors so good if you want a segregated wedding.

I don’t think MGM does weddings because the hall there is quite small. Plus you’d probably have to have army connections. But its a very pretty anyhow.

^lol, thanks. I've eaten and Shangrilla Chinese before but wasn't sure how big their hall was.

Previously, you could go weddings in the grounds of MGM if you had army connections. My cousin had his walima there in 2004. You could also do smaller functions inside.

But like Zahra confirmed, civilians can now do functions there through Rajput.

Stopit@ For MGM I thought its services club opposite of shagarila gardens,besides KFC.This service club is owned by RAJPUT CATERING.For MGM its still the same procedure to do the functions,army connections and there own services.

Services club is taken by AMIR RAJPUT,but I don't know about MGM.

About the food cant u decide for urself what u want to serve? I am just asking because I belong to a pathaan family and our food is a bit different than pakistani food....

Hey I just checked with my husband and my info was right. Previously MGM was managed by the army for functions and you needed to be a member etc etc to hire it. The management has changed and now Amir Rajput handle the functions and it can be hired by civilians... it's not owned by them or anything, this is just the arrangement they have.

Multan Garisson Mess. It's not near KFC. It is like a 10 minute drive the other side of Sadaar.

Amir Rajput don't own MGM. The current management of MGM has opened it up to functions for civilians which Amir Rajput handle. So they would do the set up in the grounds and provide the catering.

This is separate from the Railway Services club, which you are right about.
