Though if a joke is used too much and not sparingly then well the question is do you mind?
But the thing is if you do tell him to stop then his excuse ’ I am a guy’ is very weak.
If a girl is feeling uncomfortable or objects to something then the decent thing is for a guy to step back and to stop doing that thing.

I don't think I've ever experienced a desi/Muslim guy telling me a sexual joke. They might say such jokes in the presence of other guys, but not to me or any other girl that I know of.
Just tell him you don't like it and to share those jokes with other guys, not with you.

@ spock: its not that black and white. respect is something else, he can be physically attracted to me and be respectful at the same time. But maybe u didnt undertsand what i said since i didnt say clearly that were in a relationship.

I think you're thinking about it the right way. Respect in a relationship is different from physical attraction and light hearted jokes. You are probably uncomfortable because it is new to you.
If you think that the jokes he makes are something you shouldn't have a problem with; i.e. they are normal and he is attracted to you (which is a good thing lol), then you can probably give yourself some time to grow ok with those jokes.
You can ask him to cut them down a little and follow your level of comfort, but not entirely cut it all out, IF you'd want that in your relationship in the future.
I don't think "I am a guy" justifies that. We are not slaves to our biology/socialization once we realize it.

I don't understand what the fuss is about. You two are in a relationship, he tells you jokes that you consider dirty. If you are not comfortable with it, just tell him so and I am sure he will be considerate enough. Pretty much everybody is. You can't just laugh at his jokes and then expect him not to tell you any more. Thats his thing, his mojo, and its clearly working. So its a win-win.

We are currently 5 and 0 for solving problems. 5 concerns were placed here in public view and after taking our advice the problems are solved and the couples are happier.
