"seven pounds" OR "yes man"

he picked up more then one ppl with his own blood type.
Kid
Hockey coach
holy
Amily posa
Ezra
The Doc. he hit.

In fact all 7 were his own Blood type , cuz he knew what he was going to do.

The movie was pretty dark. It shows how in a split second your life can change. You can do everything in life right go to MIT, be sucessful and happy but in a second God can take that away from you.

I don't think the purpose of the movie was to entertain but to leave you thinking a bit about guilt, mortality, living life for others and actually following the law about texting and driving.

Re: "seven pounds" OR "yes man"

^yeh cheez

Re: "seven pounds" OR "yes man"

dude that move would give electric shock to your good senses.
Watch and then tell us.

yes among other things like suicide, organ donation, having children etc. It makes for a great discussion.

I think it was the kid, coach, Emily, Ezra, his brother, the hispanic family and Holly..

Re: "seven pounds" OR "yes man"

yes.

Re: "seven pounds" OR "yes man"

I hope my sister does not read this, I loved seven pounds, despite how antsy I was throughout the movie. I need to re-watch it, Rosario Dawson is such a good actress.

PS, I freaking hate jellyfish now. And I really hope they don't make a bolly version of this movie.

Re: “seven pounds” OR “yes man”

good movie, but too slow for my taste.
6.5/10

and I want that beach house :crying:

Re: "seven pounds" OR "yes man"

Seven Pounds – of Crap!

What a waste of my time watching this movie… I had such high expectations, and by the end of it all, I felt hugely disrespected. It felt as if the movie maker was trying to force-feed emotions to me through their narrative. The narrative itself being incoherent at best. Having a violin laced melodramatic score at the end of the movie doesn’t make the audience “feel” sad about the main character’s quest to find redemption.

I didn’t care much for Ben’s character… rather, I found him to be pretentious and conceited in his attempt to select people who’re worthy of his organs. I mean – wtf! – many of us are donors by choice but we don’t get to/shouldn’t choose who we help.* "It is within my power to drastically change your circumstances but I don't want to give what you don't deserve..." - *argh!!! that's sort of a slap in the face of every donor. Who are we to decide who deserves what.

It’s a thoroughly unsatisfying movie. No wonder it’s gotten bad reviews from critics, an by no means is it in the same league as Pursuit of Happiness which was an earnestly genuine movie taking the audience through an emotional journey.

Re: "seven pounds" OR "yes man"

hmmmm
Interesting.

Re: "seven pounds" OR "yes man"

^

Pursuit of Happiness is the typical feel good movie. Cheering for the underdog - but I think this movie was different. You cannot compare the two.

I don't think Ben was suppose to be a HERO - I think giving the organs was about redemption. His character was torn and numb.

agree with every single word you used to describe the movie. Really, waste of time and money!!!!!!!!!!!!! I almost walked out of it!
