Re: Seriously Germany its not like you don't have an history with the jews
I don't understand this! What about the benefits of circumcision for boys as has been proven before? Circumcision for females should be illegal though.

So baby boys should be mutilated but girls shouldn't?

^ Removal of foreskin does not constitute "mutilation." It doesn't maim the male and has marginal medical benefits. The WHO/UN considers it helpful in AIDs prevention.
FGM is barbarity - you're removing external genitalia. Women have serious, chronic health issues as a result and are in pain for the rest of their lives.
Forget the fact that they are done for different reasons, there is no comparison.

The procedure left the 4 year old bleeding heavily. "Grievous bodily harm" was the charge brought against the doctor.

Courts make plenty of idiotic decisions but at the end of the day, Germans are probably more tolerant about other cultures than a lot of other countries.
Party pooper.

^ Yes … it’s like that see-saw where everyone has climbed on one side then a big hairy dude sits on the other side and balances it out … ![]()

ruddy foreskin sympathisers
Re: Seriously Germany its not like you don't have an history with the jews
It is more complicated than you might think. A few questions to consider...
1. Does the procedure cause a permanent injury?
2. Does the injury has a functional impact?
3.In the cultural settings of the subject, would he/she better off with the procedure or without it?
All these criteria must be considered before passing a judgement. Based on these criteria, for example, male circumcision is acceptable, while female circumcision is an abomination. I stand be the conclusion, BTW.
