ability to make you laugh, laugh at themselves, and just in general have a "happy and positive" outlook on life.
I sometimes meet people who I think haven't laughed in AGES! And it really bothers me.
I tease my husband quite a bit so I'm glad he has a sense of humor about it otherwise I'd be so screwed!!!

I would expect that, as Saima has said, a sense of humour refers to the man's ability to deal with the ups and downs that life may deal you with a light-hearted maturity.

^ a sense of humour is NOT the only thing that can help you cope with life's ups and downs, other things such as stability, maturity, faith, willpower play a much bigger role than sense of humour.
sense of humour can come in handy with small disappointments and challenges..like losing luggage when going to yer best pals wedding or missing yer flight cuz u were stuck in a traffic jam, but for life's big challenges sense of humour factors in much later, these other things I named serve as the ER, the ICU and the hospital, sense of humor merely fits in as physical therapy.

While a man may be happy to get a woman who can cook well and take care of the house, the women have issues over what they want they want in a man...
The man must have a sense of humour, when needed, must be sensitive when needed, must be loving when needed, intelligent when needed, talkative when needed, quiet when needed...
WTH...Just be happy with what you get and stop living in dream lands created by bollywood and hollywood...A man is a man, , to be as he feels like, when he feels like, simple enough...

wrong again my dear. first hand experience..stupid airline losing my luggage after the sonz of byatchez asked me to do a gate check in for my garment bag. it never showed up..or rather it did nto show up in time. Then they offer..well it will be on a flight tomorrow, if you give us a description of the bag and where you are staying we will personally deliver it to you. I just wondered out loud how can they get the bag on a diff flight, and have someone take it and drop it at my hotel when they could not manage a simple thing like putting it on the same plane on which i was..I mean it was a gate check..the bag was right next to the dang plane. It was kinda funny, I had to make plans to buy some clothes for the wedding luckily the bag did show up the next morning.

^isn’t a person telling jokes all the times called a 
a good sense of humor means the person knowing wat is right at the right time…it does not describe persons telling stupid or sexy jokes to laugh at all the times.
a person knowing the tips of the trade is said to be a having a good sense of humor.
