Sehri

Re: Sehri

Lol @ looserjee :hehe:

Milly, get instant packs of noodles, cerals, mashed potato mix, danish, pound cake, cereal bars, fruits like bananas, oranges, apples, etc.

You can also make a chicken wrap kind of thing without salad at night. Roll it in a paper towel and foil and it will be ok for you to consume in the morning. Or just keep tortilas wraps and spread some honey and peanut butter…

I dont think we get peanut butter in the U.K. I'v never had any.

What other types of foods keep hunger locked up till iftari? Foods that will keep the so called enegry going?

Re: Sehri

^^ no never heard of peanut butter :)

Re: Sehri

Try an energy drink instead of chai with some sort of carb like some sort of bread/cake.

If you guys don't have peanut butter, you can use any sort of spread on tortilla wraps...

Iv heard of it, cos there used to be this cartoon on Disney or Nick, called PBand J which stands for peanut putter and jelly. Im so clever!

The thing with bread it, I need it toasted, i love bagels and stuff, but only toasted. Maybes i'l to the cold pasta salad thing.

Get a thermos flask / food container, put your hot food in the night b4, it will be good n hot to eat when u require.

Re: Sehri

missy get a blender and have smoothies daily! thats what im going to have for my sehri, for starters :D followed by weetabix inshallah. At least thats the plan so far.

Re: Sehri

I've had a thought. Make a cheese and tomato sandwich. Wrap it in either baking parchment or foil. Put it on the ironing board. Place the hot iron on top. Leave until that side is toasted. Turn over, repeat.

Enjoy a lovely delicious toaster free, no rulebreaking, toasted cheese & tomato sandwich for sehri.

yeah, im a genius, i know.

Re: Sehri

You can also get all those soup cups, and various freeze-dried things that require you to add hot water.

Re: Sehri

Missy, now you can toast any sort of bread without a stove, toaster, etc... just use your iron :D

:CareBear:

lol shabash ultay kaam batao haha

i think thats a possible fire hazard and is the very reason , students are not allowed to have toasters/cook plates in the room

Re: Sehri

Keep croisants....and snack bars.

Also peanut butter and jelly sandwiches give a lot of energy..try it..

Possibly a fire hazard, but technically not a rule breaker.

Re: Sehri

The milk is UHT Milk and yes you can buy it at ASDA.
Also, check out the "World Foods" aisle at ASDA...they have a lot of stuff that could do for Sehri...

And since you mention you want ideas for food that will keep hunger locked up till lunch - why not got for the Cereal that calims to do just that!
Cutting up fruit into cereal is also a good idea!

Re: Sehri

Nuts are high in protein and can help you fend off hunger, so keep a good stash.

Re: Sehri

I cant do it

[/QUOTE]

Of course you can inshallah. Remember that everything is difficult except for whatever Allah makes easy for you. You are in the month of Ramadan, you are going through this difficulty to worship Allah and make Him happy. So ask Him to make this easy for you and it will be sooo easy and you will have yummy sehri and you will have energy throughout the day! Just dont have negative thoughts and think that its impossible. Because once you start thinking like that, then you will stop trying because in your mind you've already given up!

Re: Sehri

Load up the kettle with tomatos, green peas, broccoli, green beans and salt and pepper and plug it on slow cooking before you go to seelp. At sehri the wonderful scrumptious soup or warm V8 will be ready for you.

Re: Sehri

On a second and very deep thought, you are still living in the dorms? I remember you in uni about 6 years ago here on GS. Either you are doing your doctorate or you are one slow student.
