Secular Extremism ...............

This is an open forum for all members.

Atleast you and me agree on this one. Does Blasphemy Law ring a bell. Hope it does.

For your information, I am a Christian living in India.

I am not filled with anti-Pakistan rhetoric. It just pains me when pot calls the kettle black.

I could not agree with you more on this one....

Atleast we agree on something :)

kia pratice nahi ho raha yahan pur. i havent seen ne sort of such restriction in pakistan even being an islamic state.

as blasphamy laws is concerned i m sorry to say simplyme that u always mix the mob reaction and law enacted in this regard.

All than I meant to say is that U have to make little adjustments to achieve a bigger goal. Here checking radicalism is bigger goal and not allowing teachers to keep big beards is small adjustment. Provided it works.

Can someone clearly explain how OP has anything to do with secularism and not the state increasing its power over its subjects.
K thanks.

What? This is a fallacy of epic proportions. There is no scietific findings which explicitly shows that a man under the age of 50 with a beard is a threat to society. What we are witnessing in Tajikistan the enslavement on the part of the a small minority. Aggression against rights is aggression no matter what the establishment justifies it with.

Excuses excuses... When will this ever end. So you are saying that Blashphemy law is better than this one. Good going. Nobody can ever match this kind of wisdom.

I guess your failure to read and comprehend is based on the rose tinted glasses you wear. See unlike you I have denounced both acts. You have only denounced ones in muslim countries. Hypocrisy at its best.

As for this being a small issue, your failure to understand history and learn its lessons is appalling. Curtailing the right to basic freedoms is exactly what the Nazis did to the Jews. What the White South Africans did to the Black South Africans. And I will be damned if I don't raise a cry over this. Having seen first hand what the lack of basic freedoms leads to in Darfur, I will not go quietly into the good night.

Its a lack of perspective on your part regarding the chain reaction of such events and their political fall out that makes you this apathetic.

Oh yes Mom is very proud of me. I make sure to call out people for their open hypocrisy and biased attitudes against Islam. As I have said before, unlike you my morals don't change. I don't blow with the wind unlike yourself.

You don't condemn the Islamic countries loudly enough because you would rather make 70 excuses for their appalling behavior.

As a Muslim, you should be focused mainly on the limited lack of religious freedom in Muslim countries. Try starting with the blasphemy law in Pakistan for once, or the right to convert from Islam.

But hey, I'm sure you would support killing apostates, right? And here you are lecturing others about religious freedom, when Muslims support subjugating non-Muslims in their own countries. Give me a break you hypocrite.

Christians are routinely persecuted in Pakistan and no Pakistani Muslim is brave enough to stand up to their persecution. Always crying about Palestine yet say nothing about the equally appalling behavior present in Pakistan.

See the kind of discrimination that happens in some of the muslim countries and these ones. You cant compare apples and oranges.

From a perspective, it is good to get worked up when basic freedom is being curtailed. I dont see the kind of energy that is being put into this when other topics are being discussed. How many topics are there in this forum against discrimination in SA--- None. Why...

I understand. Good for you. As I mentioned in the previous post, change cannot happen by this generation alone.

Let me correct the thread's title. It is not secular extremism, secularism is extremism! When a bunch of people gathered to kick out religion from all walks of life, they in fact were the biggest extremists in the history of mankind!

Secularism in its nature is evil as it drives out religion and divine law especially Islamic law out of people's lives. What remains behind is Sarkozy like people, Belgian extremists, Turkish military and secular establishment, Pakistan's armed forces leadership and establishment, and all those puppets ruling the Muslim world.

simply me!

i m unable to understand y r u not able to comprehend the basic fact that blasphemy law does not interfere with the relegious belief of a non muslim nor it restrict to a person to practice its relegion.

what it simply restricts is to say nonesense about holy prophet and other prophets including christ.

neways this is not the topic ......... if u have nething to say plz post in thread relating to blasphemy.

i think u havent followed the pakistani press properly. general public and even relegious scholars hasve severely condemn the "mob justice". even i have shared the interview of a scholar in thread relating to "blasphemy law".

but if that person has voilated that law he will have to face the criminal case.

Yet you only condemn the ones by Muslims. Listening to you would be idiotic. Hypocrites should not be entertained.

As for Simplyme, typical. No condemnation of the abuse against Muslims. I have yet to see you say anything other than your hatred against Muslims. Additionally you are an idiot my dear friend. Basic human rights are universal. Shows how little you know, doesn't matter which country it is in. The concept is Universal.

As for not happening in on generation, I guess you didn't take any world histroy courses in middle school. History proves you wrong.

When you dont have valid answers start abusing.

Name calling again my friend. This should make your mother proud.

Good that you know it. Why is it that this concept does not exist in any of the Islamic countries. Does being a muslim make you immune to these rules. Why is there no topic regarding the discrimination against minorities. You seem so worked up when minor infringements happen.
Let us take this. In US before 911 happened, security was so relaxed. You know what happened after 911. How the rules changed. How thousands were deported etc. This is just a cause and effect relationship. People in western countries when they go to the Islamic countries see the kind of discrimination that happens and when they come back they want to remove all traces of what they have seen back there. Isnt it just natural...

I understand you will start ranting about how minor infringements lead to big measures. If you look at it from an adult perspective(which I seriously doubt you ever can) you will begin to respect these measures.

Blasphemy laws are Great...

Keep it up my dear friend. I dont know what you will come up with next.

Maybe Slavery is good if practised properly right.

Re: Secular Extremism ...............

Double post.

Re: Secular Extremism ...............

Condemn the act first and then we continue the discussion. Still unwilling to show any moral back bone to support muslims. Now that shows your upbringing.

simply me … i cud not understand y u r so shy to discuss the real subject of the thread.

nwayz as u r harping on the same string … i wud try to explain it through a rather indirect example

blasphemy laws are great indeed … in my person opinion protection of relegious susceptibilty by state is most important personal right and shud not be offended.

following is the link to the jug suriya article in which he simply **doubted the existence of Ram from historical point of view (provided the fact that he is not first person who have raised this question) and it offended the follower of hindu relegion. **

there are around 550 comments on dat blog and u wud get the idea how ppl of ur own country were unhappy , frustrtated and disgrutle over it. interestingly the article does not say even a single negative remarks about RAM. still u will feel the heat …

go ahead and make legislation to protect and establish the true identity of RAM. who has stopped u.

Is Ram really for real?:Juggle-Bandhi:Jug Suraiya’s blog-The Times Of India
