No, its still farfetched & this idea was first floated by the right wing think tank in the US, the Heritage Foundation, when Bush was trying to export democracy to the larger ME. It hasn’t worked & wont work b/c people often tend to vote for people who do not toe the US line (ie Hamas, Hizbullah & Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt are some examples).
Btw, I think only people who really deserve nations of their own are Balachs and Kurds & since their lands are divided between different & more powerful nations its wishful thinking, too.
