Cuba second from last, just ahead of North Korea

United States and Israel singled out for actions beyond their borders

Reporters Without Borders is publishing its second world press freedom ranking. As in 2002, the most catastrophic situation is to be found in Asia, especially North Korea, Burma and Laos. Second from last in the ranking, Cuba is today the world’s biggest prison for journalists. The United States and Italy were given relatively low rankings.

Pakistan and India both stand at 128. Nepal , Bhutan, and Bangladesh are even worse. Only Srilanka seems to be doing better in the whole region!

whatever the current world ranking may be, it sure is at no 1, in Pakistan's history, under Gen Mush. never before was press as free in Pak as it is today.

I don't agree with the Pakistan ranking from some reporter society...Pakistan is #1 for sure...In Pakistan you can publish anything even by giving money like it happens in other top ranked countries too... :)
