Pakistan let slip another oppurtunity to nail Australia and gain upper hand. Malik and Razzaq's inability to bowl cost us dearly because Sami was uselss today and Danish-Shoaib Pair was getting tired but both gave lion-hearted performances. Only if we had Malik or Razzaq to bowl today, they would have gotten their rest and maybe we could have got aome minor lead but as a result Aussies got 100 runs too many.
Apart from Youhana, who fell to a atrociuos decision, all other batsmen gifted wickets to bowlers. I was specially disappointed with Yasir because he was lookign really good. Though all hope is lost but if somehow we can eke out a lead of 200, we can give Danish and Shoaib a chance but that means another 150 more. woh kaun banaye gaa :(
QUIZ TIME: have we pakistanis ever, in the 2nd innings of a test match, scored more than what we did in the 1st????
except that one inning from hanif mohammad....
we seem to follow this equation:
S2 = S1 / 2 - 2*n
where S1 and S2 are the 1st and 2ng inning scores respectively....
n is a random number between 1 and 10....

Someone send a khofnaak nurse or PIA hostess to Razzaq's hospital so he will remain awake whole night. He can come and sleep on the pitch tomorrow for 150 balls this time. Atleast others would have chance to put some 100 runs in the mean time.
malik was not looking comfortable against warne, hope he survives :(

its' really disappointing to see pak now staring into the face of defeat after being in a strong position, malang and martyn partnership was the low blow i think and then our amazing start to the 2nd innings was the icing on the cake!

Well, look at the bright side. We avoided innings defeat (yet again). At the end of first day, a friend of mine told me, quite worryingly, that the pitch is so easy, we may still suffer innings defeat in this test. Losing by 10 wickets, is just not as bad as losing by innings. Way to go Pakistan! :k:
Next test, lets shoot for actually making the match into the 5th day (without help from rain). Baby steps, guys, baby steps.
This all will be forgiven once we win the triangular series. :D

At Perth, Aussies were 78/5...in cricket you never know in general...and with the Pak team in particular...anything can still go... :)
