Second Test: Pakistan v/s Zimbabwe

160 KMPH is around 98 MPH.
100MPH = 161.4 KMPH.
It doesn't matter now, he has already broken the 100mph barrier, the problem is that people just hate to admit it.
Once again Pakistani bowling was dissappointing. Against the batting lineup like Zimabawe, I expected them to finsih them off under 150 runs, but thats not going to happen.

Saqlain Scatters Zimbabwe

**Saqlain Mushtaq claimed the second-best figures of his Test career as Zimbabwe were bowled out in less than 72 overs despite winning the toss. **

The home side collapsed from the good position of 94 for two as the Pakistani off-spinner finished with seven for 66 in 25.5 overs.

Saqlain took three wickets between lunch and tea.

And after Shoaib Akhtar removed the last recognised batsman in Andy Flower (30), the tail obliged by presenting Saqlain with four more cheap wickets.

**A wicket apiece for pacemen Shoaib and Waqar Younis did the initial damage. **

Mark Vermeulen’s first Test innings was a brief one as he was lbw to the final ball of Shoaib’s opening over for two.

Dion Ebrahim followed in similar fashion for five as Waqar produced an excellent first spell.

Alistair Campbell and Grant Flower put on 86 before captain Campbell was caught behind for 46 to give Saqlain his first wicket.

And when Saqlain switched ends he also accounted for Flower, who was out lbw for 54, the best score in the innings.

Further disaster ensued. Hamilton Masakdza, batting down the order after struggling as a makeshift opener in Harare, was out to the fourth ball he faced.

**Again, wicket-keeper Kamran Akmal took a smart catch. Zimbabwe had slumped to 119 for five and suddenly Saqlain had three wickets. **

After tea, Saqlain removed Tatenda Taibu, well caught down the leg-side by Akmal, and four balls later Andy Blignaut was caught at short leg.

Saqlain’s last two victims were both clean bowled, as neither Ray Price nor Henry Olonga were able to live with him. He now has 195 Test wickets.

In the final hour of play, Pakistan reached stumps without losing a wicket, though it was slow going from Taufeeq Umar and Saleem Elahi.

A good day for Pakistan first getting Zimbabwe out for 178 with Saqlain getting 7 and then remaining 29 for 0 at the close.

Zimbabwe batting was unable to get partnerships going today and look like having to field all day tomorrow.

Yaar Umair please don't stop PT!!!

the cricinfo site sucks--so slow in upload--- i have stopped going to that site anymore..all i do is search for PT threads on K&K and read them..PT is doing a great favor for poor ppl like me ..Shabaash PT keep up the good work

P.S: Shoaib bowled 160k/h...humm...aab beta phir injured na ho jana...zaida zoor laganey ke zaroorat nahee hai..Haat halka rakho!

Shoaib looked awesome today, he bowled 8 staright overs, which is something very unusual for a super fast bowler like him.
You can't blame him, the pitch never favored fast bowlers.

huh!!

this will never happen..becoz you sissy Pak don't play w/ us..

Zaheer Khan is way much faster than Shoaib..

Jaan lewa...beware...Ajit agarkar w/ his awesome muscles and physique will one day become faster than lousy Shoaib..

I was hoping to see Elahi dude get out early so that he could get the axe.. but my wish didnt materialize.. Now i am hoping he gets out for less than 20... so that we get to see a better opener vs South Africa....

WellDone Pakistan... Well Played!
