Huh? Gitmo isn't a holocaust or genocide. It's a prison for terrorists. How is that possibly even related? A contemporary trip would take them to Sudan where the government and Arab militias are committing genocide against the black African population.

Jews have been persecuted for 2000 years. How long has this "dragged throught the mire" you claim Islam has been through been going on? They were running ramshod across the globe for all of their history until the collapes of the Ottomans. The other difference is that it isn't the Jews persecuting themsleves at it mostly has been for Muslims since this period of "dragged throught the mire" begun.
