I have never lived with my Mamoo, however, my mom tells me that he used to have major anger management issues after my grandfathers death. Like I said before, he used to blame my Khalo for the death. So ya there was fear in the house for months, almost a year, that my Mamoo may lose it one day, and anything could have happened. And my Khalo was the direct threat.
But my Khaloo never took a dominate role in the home ( even though he was the main financial provider). He made the the house as comfortable as possible for my Mamoo. His anger has toned down, as its been 20+ years.
I’m sure you know much better than me, that medication is crucial for those with schizophrenia, HOWEVER, love and care are much more important. They need to feel comfortable, have their own personal space, and never should feel any sort of threat ( even moving from one location to another). And it varies with people, but with my Mamoo, this is the only way to keep him calm and away from his dark place.
