I don’t know if my cousin has it but there was a situation in which the doctors suspected it, but today she is fine without meds or anything of that sort. MashAllah, I think she made a lot of dua to get out of it.

It doesn’t sound like your cousin had schizophrenia, because it doesn’t go away on it’s own and if left untreated it can progress and get worse. Medication is needed to control schizophrenia.
