both my mom and dad are bihari and so i had to hear both families talk in bihari.. im sure i know more bihari than that laloo prasad guy.. lol. and of course, how the bihari women cannot be married outside of biharis because they are so superior than everyone else.. :hehe: its funny that when i talk in urdu in front of desis, they can instantly tell im bihari.. :blush:

:rotfl: @ the women being superior. Yes it exists in my dad’s side of the family too. They all get married into biharis. I have cousins who are also my aunts and aunts who are also my nieces cause of the complicated ghitch pitch marriages.

Not to mention how every family has a Babu :cb: My dad is a Babu in his family.
Mum refused to call my brother a babu despite my dadis fruitless attempts.

Biharis have their own way of saying things.

Like if you’d invite someone over for dinner, you would ask them nicely at the end ‘aap nay theek say khaya, aur lain na please’

Biharis on the other hand will just go, ’ Khana wana ho giya tumhara?’ :clown:

^hahahaah, yes! :omg: at babu! my 21 year old brother is still called babu by so many aunts and uncles.. ! i went to a bakery with my cousin when i was visiting pakistan and i said to the shopkeeper, uncle 12 anda dey den please.. this guy next to me was like, beta aap bihari hain? i was like jee…? he goes, yeah thats why u said anda instead of anday.. lol.

uetian, i find its better to get in the habit of using a measuring cup instead of tea cups or mugs.

I just made sawaiyan according to the recipe given by shining_star but they were hard. Any idea of what I might have done wrong. The taste was very nice except for the hard part. :(

Someone pls help
