Ganguly will come back as he did so many times. He is a good batsmen. I think Indian people are over reacting. Good & Bad phases are part of a sportsman life. He has scored almost 10000 runs in ODI's.
Well as far as captaincy is concerned, Dravid used to captain the Indian side before. He is a better captain than Saurav but his batting goes down with captaincy, that is the only reason why Saurav was made the skipper of Indian side before.
He captained India in 5 test matches and his batting average is just 17.25 in contrast to his career average 57.86.
In ODI's he lead the site in 10 matches and his batting average is 29.22 in contrast to his career average of 39.72.
