This was never an internal issue. Iranians are exploiting problems around the region, first they support Hezbollah and topple the Saudi-back government in Lebanon. Egypt is gone. Bahrain is on the verge of collapse, if sunni-dominated gulf states let the Bahrain fall, the shia’s will starting to protest in Eastern Saudi provinces & Kuwait.

This is an calculated move by Saudi & UAE, they are showing Iran they are willing to use force to keep their sphere of influence intact. Iran is actually becoming a greater problem around the region. Pakistan should form an open alliance with Saudia & UAE regarding this. Air superiority & Naval power of Saudi/UAE & Pakistani land forces/tactical nuclear weapons are enough to take care of Iran. Their is still time to contain Iranians through Afghanistan/Kuwait & Iraq.

LOL paranoid much? Pakistan should stay out of the affairs of the middle east, we have our own problems to deal with (with those problems being exacerbated by Saudi funded extremists).

Saudi is more of a threat to Pakistan(considering we can plainly see the instability that their petro-dollars are causing in Pakistan) than Iran is.

While pro-government commentators allege Iranian support of the current uprising, US defence secretary Robert Gates, who visited Bahrain on March 12, said there is no evidence of interference from Tehran.

Blaming Iran for the protests is pretty much an excuse to ignore the legitimate grievances of the protests. It’s the same tactic used by Mubarak when he blamed pretty much everyone other than himself for the protests in Egypt, and it’s the same tactics currently being used by Gaddafi where he’s blaming Al Qaeda and drugs for the protests in Libya.
