I agree with you that Pakistan should stay away from any conflict between SA and Iran, rather i would hope that Pakistan could help resolve the differences between the two countries (wishful thinking).

Agree with you there, being the product of a mixture of both Arab and Persian culture(alongside Indian culture), Pakistan is in the best position to be a mediator between SA and Iran.

However you should appreciate that most countries will behave in much the same way as SA is doing. SA is wary of uprising in its provinces of Qutaif and surrounding areas which for centuries have had close ties to Iran.

Thing is that I don’t think it would have come to this if Saudi Arabia wasn’t an absolute monarchy and/or actually treated everyone, regardless of race, religion, language etc., equally. I don’t think there has ever been an uprising of this sort in a stable democracy, protests sure, but no uprisings.
