One must respect the laws of the country regardless of how hypocritical they are…

…At the end of the day they would probably face the death penalty in Pakistan for committing armed robbery… Being Pakistani and committing an armed robbery in KSA didn’t exactly help as Pakistani people are seen as nothing more than slaves in Saudi.

We should try to follow all laws within reason.

We cant however, nor should we ‘respect’ every law in every country. Some laws are genuinely bad laws and deserve nothing but disdain and revulsion. Saudi proclivity for such barbaric forms of punishment is not worthy of our respect. There are many laws in Pakistan that are openly discriminatory and are not worthy of being respected.

We should openly criticize such laws… We should respect the authority of a nation and her leaders, but that does not mean we blindly support every law that those leaders pass.
