DD, you can do the pleats yourself. Wear a saree and send me the pics girl. You have the height for a saree so you better wear it!

shahreen, babes you can. Only 12 pounds to get the pleats sown in belt style so basically every time you wear it you don’t have to fiff around draping it around you etc, it’s already done for you 
That sounds like a great idea DD. I have several saris that I was given for my wedding but hardly ever wear, like you I'm scared of the whole thing coming undone or something equally embarrassing.
I'll have to remember to take them with me when I next visit my parents. Thanks for the idea.
If you do the pleats properly, then it won't come undone. My mother usually wraps me in a saree. Get someone else to wrap it and make the pleats while you adjust it on you accordingly.
I once went to a wedding where someone stepped over a lady’s sari and it fell apart half way Thank God it was all women
