Saree help

Capped sleeves and half-up and half-down hair.. and updo really ages u by a couple of years..

Pearly/cream makeup would look very pretty with the color combo u've mentioned..

i think capped sleeves looks really princess like when done right, i'd go for that and i would put half of my hair up, just because women never do that at desi events anymore. you would stand out so much more and hopefully it gives you more elegance to carry off that sari you'd be wearing.

Re: Saree help

can anyone post pic of hair style you are talking about

Re: Saree help

Capped sleeves and loose waves :hula:

Updo would look good too, but make sure it is not too harsh.

Re: Saree help

And, just because I am bored and had nothing to do:

Re: Saree help

smokey silver eyes definitely.

Re: Saree help

red lips, creamy/pearly eyes well defined with black liner, cap sleeves, half hair up with loose waves cascading down

or

smokey eyes, nude lips, cap sleeves, updo

Re: Saree help

well...hmm..sari is not much of a dress for tweens....its a dress for a lady...so the elegance comes if you wear it with a polished....prim and proper attitude...otherwise it would look as if you 'wanted' to wear a saree..but didnt want to look the part...
if you are not an 'aunty' you wont look like one...period. A bun (low or high) signifies elegance IMHO.
elbow length sleeves are proper, IMHO.
leave the loose hair for a bday party or the beach.. :)

but then its all up to whos wearing it ;)

Re: Saree help

I really like how Vidya Balan pulls off sarees...they suit her so much and she rarely looks like a skank in them.

Anyway, I woud go with a very classy updo...big gorgeous earrings...soft make up. Sometimes pulled back hair and smokey eyes can look harsh too.

Psquared.........my parents think I look like Vidya Balan, lol.
