Shinoo..this was just a little sample. I have about 200 more. After that the batteries ran out in my stupid digital camera (why does that happen?, isn't digital technology supposed to be better??). anyway thanks, these are two shots of Santorini, and island about 5 hours on boat from Crete (where we spent 2 weeks), we took a day trip to Santorini, it is just a stupid tourist island nothing much there. Crete on the other hand is simply fabulous, with so much to offer and so historically rich, with both Venetian and Ottoman influences, and home to Nikos Kazantzakis(among other of Zorba the Greek and the Last Temptation of Christ, and perhaps the father of modern Greek literature) and Venezelos, the Greek statesman. The home of Minoan civilization (3000 to 1600 BC), and tons of other interesting stuff.
Post some pics of Crete if you have some. :)

Looks absolutely fab. Actually one of the reasons I like NYA is because he's such a computer dunce he makes me look like a NASA scientist by comparison.
The picture Shinz posted...the water looks too blue to be true. The sea is a more realistic sludge-brown colour over here.

Mehnaz, I have been to Mykonos, but not on this trip. The only group of Greek isles that we have not traveled to are the north eastern ones, which we have little interest in travelling to anyway. My favorites are the Dodecansese, Cyclades and Ionian. Because of family ties (and my passion for sailing) we always go to Greece in summer. I love it.
Xtreme Yaar, you make me feel like a Queen. Arsehole, I was in London, and I forgot to bring your phone number along. Besides, I am not good with them goddam payphones in Europe. I just hate to see my Mastercard charge for the calls that I was making.
I really want to travel to the Greek islands. In fact, I plan on going there on my honeymoon if I ever get married. It's just so beautiful there. These are some of the reasons why I want to go there.
