only cases which has death sentence will go to President and not all small cases like 6 yr jail :D
Referring to President doesnot mean that everytime they are going to refer the case "directly"...
Okk...Let's wait for few months...and you will see that Dutt saab's lawyers have appealed in Supreme Court.
Next -- Supreme court hearing and counter hearing and endless saga.
Next-- Supreme court Judges appointment is directly under President --at present who is like a maid-servant of Sonia Manio.
So here is a simple fact -- Priya Dutt -- sister of Sanju baba is Memmebr of Parliament from Bandra and needless to say a coterie of Soniaji.
All she needs to do is just keep polishing Big madam and reap the rewards.

I agree justice is done and his start status didnot save him too long.I am proud of this justice and our justice system today.It was delayed but it was perfect.
Talking about Sonia and Congress issue, if Sonia and gang wanted it they couldnot have done it by now as Congress is in Power in Maharashtra. It doesnt take a lot to xfr tough Judge and bring in some of their croonies. So yous Sonia-Phobia is not worth discussing.
On the side note, when will justice be delivered to Narendra Modi. When will BJP push for it? Let me know. Narendra Modi did bigger crime than Sanjay and we all know he will never be punished.

They can't delay it anymore because all evidences are against him...he not only possessed weapons but encouraged two more people to possess it. And those two confessed their crime they got weapons through Sanju's "arrangement".
His messiah Abu Salem caught much later, spilled all the beans about his parties with Bhai Dawwod Ibrahim (now a noble citizen of Land of Pure).
He should have been punished at least 2 years back....but thanks to powerful pseudo-secular bandwagon behind him, he got through so far.
As far as BJP is concerned, I don't understand how the hell they came in this Sanju baba case.
If Narendra Modi possessed arms or did any terror act -- this Congress plus pseudo-secular bandwagon along with communist would have lynched him by now.
They can't do anything to him, because they don't have anything against him which court will find substantial.
All in all there is only these self-apologetic talks that oh he was behind riots and yada yada, nothing else.

Hypocrisy at its best in a 3rd world court. Have the courts been able to make all influentials dispose off their illegal arms or have they provided good enough reason to be in possession...? Of course the court has to work by the legal requirements, but exactly how blind is justice...?
Anyway a novice at legal matters like myself aint in a postilion to question, however I do believe that Sanjay Dutt is one of the most loved personalities in Souht Asia, I say loved *and *revered, not just held in esteem for his success and statute, not just by fans but colleagues alike for his character and personality.
Watched an episode of Koffee with Karan with Sanjay and sister as guests, opinion section had commenst from the entire industry, and everyone had comments beyond the usual superficial niceties.
May his struggles ease out for him.

Intrestingly, all the delay that happened in his case, you blamed it on Congress or Sonia without any proof. Who are you going to give credit of him being in Jail for 16 months? Wasnt Sunil Dutt MP at that time and was very Influencial? Priya Dutt is novice in his comparision. If Priya is so influential then why would shewait till goes to Supreme court to influence the decisions. Would not it be easier to do it at High Court level itself as Congress is in Power in Maharashtra and it is likely to create less controversy.
By the way It is well known fact that Thakre was behind his release from Jail when he served 16 months.
Regarding Modi, Your love for him is pathetic. All the Human Right reports have pointed finger on him. Ofcourse he didnot carry the Arms but if you are denying that he was not involved in Gujrat massacre then there is no point arguing you with. have you ever given thought to that fact that someone got to be responsible for thousand people who got killed in Gujrat violence. Who is that person? Or you think since majority of those killed were Mulsim, therefore it is ok to kill them.

i highly doubt that if sanjay dutt had bought weapons from hindu gangsters who were going to kill muslims that india would have investigated him and punished him so severely
Delhi high court gave life imprisonment to Shibu Soren - He was a cabinet minister (I think Coal...) of the ruling party. Narsimha Rao given 3 years jail time, he was ex prime minister.
This is not a religious issue. So please don't try to make it so. The higher courts in India are still not corrupt to a large extent.
I like Sanju too, but he did something for which he should get punished.

We are in support of Sanjay Dutt, hero of our indian film Industry. He has already been through 13 years of trauma and 16 months of solitary confinement. Sanjay does not deserve another 4 odd years of imprisonment.
Especially when he was under pressure and severe threats for whatever he did.

my goodness, all this for a movie star! I wonder where these petitioners were when the riots of 2002 happened and N modi was behind that whole mess. It's obvious that he is guilty of killing hundreds of people and yet nobody was petitioning then. When corrupt politicians don't bother to make public school free for everybody not just girls, I guess the petitioners were out for a long lunch or in a disco somewhere.

Sorry Ghazalaji, I didn't mean to piss you off with my post:). I guess I got a lil carried away there. I was just surprised by the amount of importance and sympathy that Sanjuababa was getting as a moviestar who was minimally involved in the Bombay Blasts. But I do think that the 6 year sentence was a bit too much....maybe one or two years would have sufficed.
