Made who into heroes? PCB and chairman have no credit to the performance of Pakistan team. That was solely due to the 11 players on the ground. There is no reason not to praise those 11 and the captain for making such a great comeback on a WC stage when just a few months ago they were being hammered by off and on field scandals.

Impressive and sad news.
Looks like they are feeling too much guilty for not winning the cup. Other countries could kill to go in to finals. going in to semi is an achievement itself let alone finals.

not only players are taking responsibility but the govt too hasnt announced any big prize money for them.

i have no doubt that SL is on the right path of progress.

GA…butt is the skin sore that appears after cancer is running in the body for a long time…
Corruption and a politically run board is the root cause. Still I would like Butt to leave asap or keel over…I would have no remorse for wishing that.

I think its a good decision. Dilshan leads with the bat and he is a decent bowler on slow wickets plus an exceptional fielder. So he should be a good choice to lead from the front.

Dilshan named captain for England tour

Tillakaratne Dilshan has been appointed Sri Lanka’s captain for all three formats during the upcoming tour of England in May following Kumar Sangakkara’s resignation from the post after the World Cup. Sri Lanka Cricket have not yet named a vice-captain to fill the role vacated by Mahela Jayawardene because “the prospective candidates are nursing injuries, and their availability for the forthcoming tour is still in question.”
