Thanks fkhan2. We'll know how patheric the PCB is so what they said in the media is either a lie or lack of knowledge of the ICC rules. Either way, the 5 reservers originally announced were Shahzaib Hasan, Mohammad Sami, Raza Hasan, Naveed Yasin, Sarfraz Ahmed (Wicket Keeper). So Rehman was not in them and was not part of the on-going camp either.
As everyone is saying, even Afridi, Irfan would have been a surprise package and an asset for Pakia t the T20 WC. However, Butt saw it otherwise and he doesnt know much about cricket and went against Captain, Coach & Cheif Selector's wishes.
Why would Afridi, Waqar and Mohsin even speak to the media about possible replacements and make an ass of themselves in public when they know that their opinions and suggestions carry little weight unless approved by the biggest 'Butt' in town?

Passport can be made in one day. Similarly, visa can be arranged in a day or two. But all of this is moot if Irfan was already set to play league cricket in England, then surely he had a passport already.
