Re: Salaam-e-Isqh (Released)
Huge cast is not a guarantee for a good film....
Re: Salaam-e-Isqh (Released)
sure there isn't but lil expectation atleast:)
Re: Salaam-e-Isqh (Released)
Actually its pure entertainer. Had some great scenes. Ayesha and Vidya looked great as usuall…and the gurls thought Salman and John looked the best. The less said about Govinda the better
But I think it was a fun movie, funny moments, emotional moments, great music and awesaome locations. But I agree with coomunda, the Sohail-Isha track does go over the top at times, and family audiences won’t like it, but if you’re watching with friends…its definetly very funnny ![]()

Re: Salaam-e-Isqh (Released)
my expectations are high

Re: Salaam-e-Isqh (Released)
I did it bcoz i dont want u people to go and watch it...... but still if you like the star cast and Nikhil direction you may go and i m sure u will enjoy it
Re: Salaam-e-Isqh (Released)
Not that I particularly care about any Indian movie (incl this), but as a matter of courtesy, there should be a spoiler warning if someone wants to give out all the endings. Its just common sense and will be appreciated by those who watch these kinds of movies. First post should either be edited, or the title should have a spoiler warning. "I don't want people to watch" is not a good enough reason. You can tell you don't like the movie and even give a synopsis without giving out all the spoilers.
Re: Salaam-e-Isqh (Released)
I still want to watch it since I like the songs and John and Vidya look cute together :) Too bad they left out Mera Dil :(
Re: Salaam-e-Isqh (Released)

**Salaam-e-Ishq grosses Rs 500 million globally **By Businessofcinema.com Team
29 January 2007, 06:23 PM MUMBAI: Nikhil Advani’s multistarrer Salaam-e-Ishq might have opened to mixed reactions, but the film has grossed Rs 500+ million (Rs 50+ crores) world over in its opening weekend.
The movie opened in 1200 screens globally on 25 January, 2007. In the UK, the box office grosses up to Sunday exceeded that of Adlabs’s *Krrish *and *Guru *as well as UTV’s *Rang De Basanti *and *Don *for the same period.
Salaam-e-Ishq stars Anil Kapoor, Govinda, Salman Khan, John Abraham, Akshaye Khanna, Sohail Khan, Juhi Chawla, Priyanka Chopra, Ayesha Takia, Vidya Balan and Shanon Era.
With over 3.1 billion tickets being sold in India every year and the accelerated growth in multiplex cinemas, which are driving ticket prices up, Bollywood is well and truly sustaining its 21% CAGR growth. As part of its strategy, Eros (which released the movie worldwide) is taking a larger slice of the Indian box office and has set up its own distribution offices in Mumbai and Delhi.
Eros released Salaam-e-Ishq with local language subtitles in markets like Germany, Belgium and Holland through mainstream multiplex chains. This move is in line with the company’s strategy to broaden the audience for Bollywood films beyond the expatriate community.
Eros International Plc director and president India Sunil Lulla said, “We are delighted with the audience response to Salaam-e-Ishq. Our strategy is a combination of leveraging our distribution network and marketing muscle globally and looking for opportunities to open new markets. We remain focused on this core thread of our business and are excited about our release pipeline.”
The company’s other global releases in the pipeline up to April comprises Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s Eklavya, Vipul Shah’s Namastey London, Amitabh Bachchan starrer Chinni Kum, Aishwarya Rai’s Provoked, John Abraham starrer ***No Smoking ***by Anurag Kashyap and India’s first 3D animation film Friends Forever.

Re: Salam-e-ishq
I never liked priyanka as much but in that song, I think it’s salam-e-ishq her body language is amazing and the way she is looking at salman (like she is going to kill him) that’s cute.![]()
Re: Salam-e-ishq
Priyanka is such an expressionist ... so adorable.
The only good thing in this movie was the title song, they executed it really well. And talk about long movie... Goddd, 4 hours for one movie... whewww.
Re: Salaam-e-Isqh (Released)
I think I didn't give you complete story but the detailed synopsis. You can still watch the movie and as I said before if you like the starcast and music you will enjoy it. And don't act childish everyone knows that in all the movies there is a definate ending and most of the people know it...........
