I may be wrong, but I do one salam and then the attahayat from the beginning... and I do the single salam after the shahadat.
so you do attahayat in ur final rakat, till the shahadat, do one salam, and 2 sajdas and then the whole attahayat all the way till the end and two normal salams to end the prayer.

can you please tell me what the difference is between the hanafis and ahle hadith…
I am not really sure what I am. I just think I am a sunni muslim, dont really know what the difference is between the hanafis and the ahle hadith. Do hanafis not believe in ahadith?
I do one salam, just like u mentioned up there saying hanafis do it. I dont think I am a hanafi. I learnt that (sajda e Sahv) in a very multicultural place back in the boarding school in Pakistan and not at home. I believe I saw the imam at the mosque do it and thats how I learnt about it.

Assalamualikum,
I m a Shafai and there is difference of performing Sajda sahu between Hanifis and Shafais.About Hanfis it has already been told but for Shafais it is performed after readind AlTahiyat,Durood and final dua.Two prostrations are done and then salam is performed.

Repeat only when you miss (a) farz (takbeer, kayam, kirat, ruku, quoma, sajda)
for missing wajib we do sajda-e-sahv.

ahle hadith are hanafi too. Actually, sunni of subcontinent are almost all hanafi including barailvis, wahabies, deo bandies and ahle hadith. Arabs are mainly shafai.

kaka-atom-bum, I don't think it should make any difference as to what madhab you're following for a particular action so long as it's in accord with Quran and Sunnah.
